Clay people

I’ve been following the April Fools mini workshop from

It is a complete accident that I have started this workshop in April – I actually joined in very early January and have only just got round to giving it a go. I am drawn to the characters that are created in the workshop, even though a friend took a peek at the tutorial and thought they looked like dead people!

I started out with some clay that I’d had for years. And, I do mean years – I must have opened this packet of airdry clay at least three years ago. I was very pleasantly surprised that it was still okay – it didn’t seem any drier than it did back then. The clay I used was Efaplast by Eberhard Faber. I used the classic clay.

I’m not experienced at all with clay, so I enjoyed the simplicity of this workshop. And I love the characters that began to emerge.
