So, in my quest to be a better drawer, I decided to practise the transversal of images to my drawing paper using a grid. I even went so far as to print out a grid using my last remaining sheet of acetate.

But as I was doing this, I was thinking how cool it would be if there was an app for the iPad that would overlay a picture from the library with a grid. And to amazement, one exists!

Interestingly, I still didn’t get an outline true to the original. Maybe I need a smaller grid and I definitely need more practice, both at transferring the outline and controlling the pencil.
